Brenda Brenda Cagle
Paralegal / Senior Manager

Read Bio:

Brenda joined our firm in 2001 as a Paralegal/Case Manager. She brought with her twenty years of diverse legal experience, superior legal knowledge, and a keen desire to help others. Her reputation with clients, insurance adjusters, and the entire legal community is that of being very caring, professional, and competent. She obtained her associate degree in Paralegal Arts and Sciences.

Before joining Mitch Grissim & Associates, Brenda gained valuable experience in many legal areas including family law, criminal law, workers’ compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, and human rights. Brenda has trial experience at both the state and federal levels. She understands the hardships of the worker as she had prior work experience in various fields, including real estate and restaurant management, as well as bartending, typesetting and dispatching for a freight company.

Brenda sincerely cares about the welfare of each and every client, and fights hard to assure they are treated fairly and are well-represented, and in turn get the respect and results they deserve. She will not allow the insurance company push the client around, and she takes the time to communicate with each client at all stages until resolution of their claim. Brenda’s job is to gather the relevant documentation and information to develop the client’s case for the highest possible settlement. Brenda’s work as a team player with the attorneys and other team members assures that each client receives the benefit of our firm’s expertise and knowledge. Brenda works hard to obtain an out of court settlement for a majority of our clients. However, if filing suit is necessary, she will prepare the proper court documents and work closely with Mitch throughout the litigation process if it is in the best interest of our clients.

Away from work, Brenda is very family-oriented. She has three dogs and several sugargliders, and enjoys spending time with her five children and seven grandchildren. She also loves animals and nature. She has a strong background in church and community. She served as president of the McMinnville Chapter of the Tennessee and National Association of Legal Secretaries (NALs) for several years. She performed volunteer work teaching swimming lessons for the American Red Cross for twenty years, and she was a co-founder of the Drug Free Alliance in Warren County in the early 1980's. Brenda enjoys art and traveling.
